You wake up on the top floor with the city below the window. Breakfast across the road at Our Local. Lunch at Blondie, six minutes up the street and the address everybody in town is talking about. A sundowner on the Kloof Street House terrace, dinner next door at Asoka under the 150-year-old olive tree, and a late one at Club Kloof. All of it on foot.
Drawn by a designer, not furnished from a shop. Sofa, bed, wardrobe, joinery, lighting: made for this one room, here in South Africa. None of it can be bought anywhere. That is why twenty-five square metres read as a whole home, not a small one.
Open the doors and the kitchen is there. Glasses and plates on a lit shelf, knives on the block, kettle, coffee machine. It closes again when dinner is next door. The bathroom has a rain shower, a fluted basin under two round lamps, and Table Mountain in the window while you brush your teeth.
Camps Bay is ten minutes by car, and Café Caprice keeps a table until the sun is in the sea. The mountain is eight minutes the other way. Then the lift to the top floor, where the city is switching its lights on.

The detail
Every listing says everything is walkable. These are the real minutes, measured from the door. Kloof Street is Cape Town's restaurant street and this studio stands in the middle of it. The bar next door. The breakfast cafe across the road. The Mount Nelson down the hill, the mountain up it. Only the beaches and the cableway ask for a car, and both are inside ten minutes.

Security
Security sits at the entrance twenty-four hours a day, and the lift is behind it. Kloof Street is one of the busiest streets in Cape Town: lit, full of people until late, and patrolled. You walk to dinner next door and you walk back. Your car stands in your own bay downstairs, inside the building.
Every photograph
Every price is for one night, for two guests. It includes daily housekeeping, linen, towels, fibre, electricity, water and your own parking bay. A refundable security deposit of € 300 is taken per stay and comes back within seven days of departure. Minimum stay 5 nights, seven over the festive weeks. Dollar and rand follow the exchange rate and are rounded; the euro price is the one that counts.

Make work that lives on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube? At least thirty per cent off every rate in the table, all season, from seven nights. That is € 50 a night instead of € 75 in October, and € 135 instead of € 195 over the festive weeks.
In return: six pictures, one reel, two stories with a tag, and the right to use them ourselves. Send your handle and where you would post. Nothing scripted, and nothing about the studio you do not mean.

The Flamingo - Sea PointWe found a studio on Kloof Street that needed everything, and we bought it for the view: the whole city bowl in the window, on the street everybody in Cape Town wants to be on. Then we rebuilt it with people who live here, to feel like a five star hotel without the five star bill. You arrive, the door opens, the kettle is there, the bed is made. That is what at home in Africa means: your own address for as long as you stay, and a person here in Cape Town who answers the phone.

We look at every request ourselves, and we come back the same day. If the dates are free and it fits, we take them off the calendar and confirm in writing, with the rate, the nights and everything that is included.
One invoice in euro with all the details: the nights, the rate and the refundable deposit, and the bank details on it. One transfer, no card fees, no exchange rate to worry about, and the stay is yours.
The airport is twenty to thirty minutes away depending on the traffic, and under € 25 in an Uber. One of our team opens the door, shows you how everything works and stays reachable on WhatsApp for the whole stay.
If plans change
Once we confirm your dates they are yours, and they come off the calendar for everybody else. So a confirmed stay is a fixed stay. There is no cancellation window and no partial refund: if you do not come, the rent stays with us and the refundable deposit comes back to you in full. We say it plainly because we would rather you knew it before you book than after. Travel insurance covers the rest, and it is worth having for a trip this far.
No instant booking, no lock box, no code in an email: send us your dates and you hear back from us. No investment company sits behind these two studios. They are ours. We found them, we built them out for the way you actually want to live here, down to the linen and the reading light, and we let them because we love this city and would rather share it than hand the keys to an agency. That is why we want to know who is coming, and why the answer comes from a person. We ask everyone for an Instagram handle, it tells us more than a form ever could, and if you make work for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, say where you would post: the creator rate applies from seven nights.
